Social media is blowing up — six years ago how many of us had even heard of Twitter or Facebook? For a lot of people these platforms are central to their social lives. And for many businesses, social media is the primary method of reaching customers and building a fan base.

I recently attended a one-day Social Media Camp to learn more about what these powerful platforms are capable of. There were about 200 people at the conference — realtors, communications specialists, small businesses, insurance folks, government folks… all of us were there to boost our knowledge!
