Fuselight’s mission is igniting ideas through innovative uses of visuals and technology, whether those ideas are small or large, in different languages or world views. Igniting ideas also extends to our communities and initiatives that we support and want to help grow.
The fields of graphic facilitation, animation, illustration, and augmented reality need more people from diverse backgrounds and world views. For this reason, we’ve developed a small, pro-bono mentorship program for a few emerging artists each year to receive one-on-one coaching from our team, with a specific focus on people who identify as women, non-binary, LGBTQ2+, Black, Indigenous, or a person of colour. Our hope is these artists will gain a strong foothold in our industry to launch their own practices.
We also have future plans to roll out a mentorship program for youth living in northern or small communities that are interested in exploring these career paths.
Each quarter, we donate to a charitable organization in one of our main areas of focus: green energy and climate science, Indigenous organizations, and health & human rights.
Over the years we’ve donated to the Gastrointestinal Society, the Black Health Alliance, the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies, and the World Wildlife Fund.
