Graphic Recording & Augmented Reality
Pacific Forestry Centre

Bringing together researchers from the US and Canada, this wildfire conference focused on understanding the current science on all aspects of forest management, particularly the increasing threat of wildfires.

These wildfire graphic recordings were drawn in real time during fast paced and data-heavy presentations on forest management. These graphics were augmented reality (AR) enabled: people could scan their smartphone across the graphics and images, videos, and the actual research referenced in the talks would pop up. Because graphics serve as a visual summary of major themes from a talk, AR allows people to dive deeper into the content (and is a fun way of making the graphics more interactive!)
