At the Big Fire You Summit, Indigenous female youth gathered to stoke the fire of leadership, building confidence and shaping projects to spark change within their communities. Hosted by Hope and Health, this two-day summit provided a thoughtful space for connection and growth.
We joined the group in person for the first day to capture the energy of their live dialogues, followed by virtual graphic recording on the second day to document their formal presentations. To reflect the summit’s theme, Tanya added a digital layer of moving flames and sparks to the illustrations. This animation created a living, flickering backdrop for the participants’ work, serving as a visual reminder of the fire they carry forward. These graphics now stand as a vibrant record of the youths’ visions and their commitment to leading the way for their communities.
